As part of the end-of-life care services offered by Hospice of Baton Rouge to our patients and their loved ones, each family is followed in our Bereavement Support Program for 13 months following the death of the patient. This service includes cards, letters, phone calls, visits, and bereavement support groups.
Bereavement Support Services are also offered free of charge to the public by Hospice of Baton Rouge as a service to the Baton Rouge Community.
Hospice of Baton Rouge can help with the process of grieving through specialized workshops and helpful mailings. Trained Grief Counselors help provide this support and guidance through a range of free services such as:
Grief Words - Our Online Bereavement Resource Library
Referrals to other Grief Professionals and Services
Our Annual Memorial Service
For more information or to register for a workshop or support group, please contact HBR Bereavement Coordinator Shannon Reech by email at sreech@hospicebr.org or by phone at 225-767-4673.
