    Volunteer!
Hospice volunteers are men and women in the Hospice of Baton Rouge service area who have dedicated themselves to providing assistance to Hospice of Baton Rouge in an effort to do all that is necessary to meet patient, family and staff needs. Our volunteers are an integral part of the hospice program and without their dedication and support Hospice of Baton Rouge could not survive. Volunteers provide a wide range of services including such areas as working at our Inpatient Facility, making bereavement calls, making community presentations, working at healthfairs, fundraising, providing respite care for patient families, running errands and clerical tasks.

Being a hospice volunteer can be an extremely rewarding experience. It can afford you the opportunity to have a look at humanity from a different perspective. Hospice volunteering is what YOU make of it! Roles and time commitments are flexible for each volunteer. If you are have any questions regarding hospice volunteer opportunities please call 767-4673.
“It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live.” - Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus
